There’s an energy shortage out there, and it’s not on gas and electricity. The shortage is with our body’s own energy reserves. Take this brief survey to see if you’re suffering from what’s been termed “adrenal burnout.”
- Do you rely on caffeine to boost your energy?
- Do you have trouble falling asleep?
- Do you still wake up tired even if you get a good night’s sleep?
- Do you get irritated easily?
- Do you have a brain fog or problems focusing?
If you’ve gone to a doctor for any of these issues and all testing came back normal, does this mean you’re simply depressed? Is it all in your head? Maybe. However, for many it’s not a problem in your head, but in your adrenal glands. The adrenal glands are tiny glands that sit on top of the kidneys and secrete numerous hormones that are essential for life, particularly those that regulate the body’s response to stress. The major hormones dealing with the stress response are epinephrine (adrenalin) and cortisol. When life gets in the way, our adrenals adapt and secrete these hormones. When life really gets overwhelming, the adrenals can’t keep up anymore and sputter out. You now suffer from adrenal fatigue or “adrenal burnout,” causing many of the symptoms I mentioned in the survey.
Some other questions you might want to think about are:
- Do you work 50+ hours/week?
- Do you work more than 1 job?
- Do you enjoy your job? If you love your job, are there other stressors at home?
- When was the last time you did something for fun?
- If there’s no time for fun, what are you going to do about it?
These questions relate to common causes to adrenal burn out, and most in our overworked society can relate because life is all work and no play. Although we can’t change the outside stressors of our work or life schedules, we can control how we respond and adapt to stress! Adrenal fatigue is not an accepted condition in conventional medicine and often gets overlooked when standard labs come back normal. For many, I recommend testing 24 hour cortisol levels to get a good baseline of how your body is responding to stress. Most will benefit with adrenal adaptive herbs in combination with our vitamin IV infusions. B vitamins and antioxidants in IVs provide energy as well as nourish the adrenal glands. If you answered yes to all the questions above, you are not alone, and you should consider getting tested soon!
