In a prospective cohort study, obese patients had a 20% increased risk of adenoma recurrence within 12 years, Adeyinka Laiyemo, MD, MPH, of Howard University in Washington, and colleagues reported at the American College of Gastroenterology meeting.
“Body mass index [BMI] was positively associated with adenoma recurrence … and lifestyle modification should be encouraged,” they wrote.
