This is the year to be accountable on that New Year’s Resolution of “exercise more and lose weight.” Unfortunately, by the time February comes around, most will fail because they don’t realize that creating a good diet and exercise routine takes months to turn into a good habit. It also takes willingness to feel uncomfortable to make a change. Most of us fail in our attempts at a new diet, simply because it’s a lot easier to stay in our comfort zone. So while making a decision to change a bad habit is the critical first step, it is usually not enough to sustain you to turn a decision into a good habit. Inertia is key. It takes a lot to stop a comfortable habit like eating out!
So, if you want to lose weight, you must take the first step and make an attempt to alter your bad habits. A good start is to focus on cutting back on calories dramatically (exercise is good, but it’s not the main driver for weight loss). You might have heard about our HCG weight loss program by now. This is the diet program where you rapidly lose fat safely through a healthy, very low calorie diet plus HCG injections. Our patients continue to do great and have been averaging 20-30 pounds in 30 days! Consider this diet as a short term method (and sacrifice) to get out of your comfort zone.
I give credit to those who will resolve to lose weight this year. Even though statistics show that most will fall off the wagon, at least they’re trying. You can only hit a home run if you swing the bat. Changing years of poor eating habits doesn’t happen overnight, so weight loss will happen when you try and fail multiple times. I challenge you this year to commit to 30 days on a diet. If you stay consistent , you’ll gain inertia and eventually make it a habit!
