Trigger Point Injections

For you athletes or weekend warriors with those aches and pains or even chronic pain sufferers, you might want to consider getting Trigger Point Injections with Traumeel. Take a look at a 2007 study on Traumeel from the journal, Medicine & Science in Sports and Exercise.

Study Design:

  • 252 professional athletes with various tendinopathies (joint overuse problems)
  • Randomized, double blind, three-armed, parallel group clinical trial
  • Traumeel ointment/Diclofenac ointment/placebo ointment

Results:

These elite athletes were able to return to their sport 4 days sooner than those who used Diclofenac (an anti-inflammatory similar to Ibuprofen), and, on average 10 days sooner than those who used a placebo.

Orizola AJ and Vargas F. Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise. 2007. The Efficacy of Traumeel versus Diclofenac and placebo ointment in tendentious pain in elite athletes: A double-blind, randomized, controlled trial.

Trigger Point Injections involve the quick injection of pain relievers and anti-inflammatories like Traumeel into muscle spasms and knots. Injections involve the use of a very fine needle which is injected directly into the involved muscle.

Traumeel is an all-natural homeopathic formula that can promote healing, lower inflammation, and help a number of conditions such as:

  • Sports injuries
  • Bruises
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Muscle and joint pain

Some of our vitamin IV infusion patients get Traumeel added to their base IVs for chronic pain issues like neck or back pain. I recommend anywhere from 2 to 10 injections for the best results. It takes commitment to change, but when you think about it, a few treatments is a good trade for an opportunity to move without as much pain.
